Brigadier Dr. Muhammad Naeem Akbar Qazi, Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), (Retired), is serving as the Federal President of the Ali Orphans Foundation, providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to the organization. With decades of distinguished service in both the defence sector and social development, he plays a pivotal role in strengthening the Foundation’s mission of welfare, education, healthcare, and protection of orphans across Pakistan. All Provincial Presidents of the Foundation report directly to the Federal President, ensuring coordinated and transparent governance nationwide.
He joined the Pakistan Army in March 1986 and rendered 32 years of exemplary service, during which he commanded an Infantry Battalion and a Brigade. He also served as Commandant, Junior Leaders Academy, Shinkiari (Mansehra, KPK)—a premier institution for the professional grooming and training of Pakistan Army and foreign junior leaders. He is a graduate of the Armed Forces War Course, National Defence University Islamabad, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT), UK.
Brigadier Qazi has extensive international exposure, having served in United Nations peacekeeping missions, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and actively participated in the Gulf War 1990–1991. He also attended various military courses and international conferences in Japan and Bangladesh.
After his retirement from the Army in July 2017, he was appointed through Civil Superior Services of Pakistan as Director General, Election Commission of Pakistan. Subsequently, he joined Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) in May 2021, where he continues to serve in senior management.
An accomplished academic, Brigadier Dr. Qazi completed his PhD in 2020 and is currently pursuing a Law degree from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. His vast leadership experience, integrity, and lifelong commitment to public service significantly enhance the credibility, governance, and humanitarian impact of the Ali Orphans Foundation.
